Today I'm sharing my second layout as a guest designer for the 36 Stitching Cut Files by Paige Evans.
For this one I knew I wanted to do something really colorful and bright and fun with those diagonal hearts. I remembered I had this photo of my sister, Stacey, and I posing with the classic BFF split heart and I thought that heart could be just the inspiration I needed for this design!
I started off by using my Silhouette to cut out tons of small hearts in varying colors and papers. Then I cut them all in half and adhered them to the center of each heart, mixing up the colors with one half being one color and the other half being another.
Then I picked out embroidery floss that coordinated with the patterned paper colors and stitched the hearts half and half just like the papers. It was exactly the bright, cheery look I was hoping for!
For the rest of layout I added a large heart with stitching and sequins and then accented that will lots of flowers.
For this layout I used the "Hearts Diagonal for Stitching" cut file. You can purchase the cut files individually here or you can get all 36 stitching cut files here. I think you're better off to just get them all! There are so many fun designs!
