This layout is from a class I taught at We Create last year. I've always wanted to create a large camera design and this collection from Simple Stories seemed like the perfect opportunity for it!
The background is a sunburst design that appears to be coming out from the camera, or at least that was the concept I tried to portray.
The camera is made up of a large rectangle with rounded corners. Then I added some smaller rectangles along the top for the knobs and buttons you would typically see on a camera.
Of course I had to add some stitching detail too! I added a single stitched border around the whole rectangle. I also added two lines of chain link stitching across the middle.
Then for the lens I used several circles layered together with more stitching to add texture and dimension. To finish the camera I added two small hearts to the center of the lens. I have a tradition of always added a heart to a camera lens since so much love is captured through it.
For my photos I opted to use Polaroid-style mats to go with the camera theme. And then my final touch was framing the whole grouping with lots and lots of flowers.
