It's no secret that I love using Nuvo Drops on my layout. Especially Nuvo Jewel Drops in Sea Breeze for my water themed layouts. It's such a fun color that very closely represents water, so it always finds a way to make it onto those Summer/beach/pool layouts of mine.
Supplies used - Cardstock: American Crafts; Patterned paper and stickers: Simple Stories; Circle punch: Fiskars; Water droplets cut file: Silhouette Design Store #83594, Nuvo Drops: Tonic Studios; Embroidery floss: DMC; Computer font: Century Gothic
With this layout I created a large circle background that is covered in wave strips in a variety of different patterned papers.
Then I framed that circle with a Nuvo Jewel Drops border. I was so nervous for this part! I didn't have anything to guide the process or the spacing between the drops so I really took my time to ensure that they were spaced as best as I could do.
Something that made it easier was that I have some elements (like the photos and the sun) that cover the Nuvo Drop frame, so I didn't have to worry about getting all the way around the circle and finding that my spacing didn't work out.
To finish the look I add some droplets cut from my Silhouette and I accented those with some Nuvo Jewel Drop droplets.
