Do you ever try to mimic details in your photo with the design of a layout? I’ve done this a time or two and this one was helped along with the use of a sketch design that was so perfect for these photos.
The sketch looks fairly close to what my layout is and what made me combine that particular design with these photos is how much the slanted squares matched the chain link fence in the photos. It felt like such a perfect compliment to the photos!
The whole background is made of slanted squares that arranged together with stitched lines solidifying it as a cohesive design.
This could also be a cool concept to use with half triangles - like if you took a square and cut it in half diagonally and then arranged them together.
The rest of the design consists of two photos, my title, some stars, and my journaling.
The sketch I used came from the Sketches for 6x6" Paper Pads: One-page Sketches set.
