Today's layout is a bit of a throwback. I created this one back when SG was producing Create Magazine.
I have always loved these photos! We were at my Grandpa's house and Drew started taking pictures of everyone. It was so cute to see him on the other end of the camera and of course I had to take photos of the moment.
The tough thing about trying to scrapbook this moment was that the lighting in the room was really dim and had an orange-y, red-ish hue so my photos turned out less than perfect, color-wise.
The good thing is that eventually a few collections came around that had that same orange-red colors and I finally had the inspiration I needed to get this one created. I used a Theresa Collin's collection for most of the papers and then there was a sheet of patterned paper from Studio Calico that was covered in cameras that were also the perfect red, orange I needed. And, come on...cameras!! How perfect is that for these photos!?
I cut out those cameras and used them, along with a few other details, to create clusters framing a background piece.
I ended up loving the way this turned out. It was so satisfying to find the perfect colors, papers, and details to document these fun photos. Even though the colors weren't "perfect" the memory is!
